Introducing the biggest and boldest kayak ever manufactured in South Africa, a true Legend from inception, the “Big Horn”. With a load capacity of 420kg, no adventure is too big for the Big Horn. At 4.7 meters long, this canoe/kayak hybrid has beautiful tracking but still very manageable at only 35kg.
It can also be manufactured and finished as a typical sit-on-top Indian type canoe…… a first in the world. This then allows for self drainage of the cockpit when loaded to capacity. There is no doubt that the Legend Big Horn will be creating endless joy for families, adventurers and fishermen out there. The 1st ones are out and the response is excellent!!

The newest Legend to join our family is the extremely fast “Bolt”. Evolving from years of passion the “Bolt” offers speed, good stability and as always indestructible construction. We have improved the hatch system on the “Bolt” to be in line with the rest of the Legend Kayak range and to provide a better seal & and less chance of losing the hatch-cover. We also adjusted the mold to improve the “rocker” and created convex deck surfaces to better deflect water. The Legend Bolt is the ideal kayak for paddle training and exercise and great for touring. Can double up as a boat for shorter fishing trips or just taking on the water at speed!

Nessy “Double” Legend Kayak
The Legend Nessy kayak has a lower centre of gravity and is therefore exceptionally stable on the water. The straight-line-tracking is excellent and the hull has sufficient rocker to make it very maneuverable. The Nessy is at home on the ocean, on rivers & estuaries, mild white-water rapids and on flat water. The raised bow punches through waves and foamies with ease and with a little practice it is real fun to surf it in the waves. The Legend Nessy seats 1 or 2 persons with a 3rd center seat for a small passenger or for use when paddling solo.
The kayak has molded-in footholds to suit a range of paddlers. The drain holes get rid of water that splashes into the kayak but can be plugged for a dry ride on calmer waters. A sealed hatch in the centre keeps items like keys, cell phones, tackle or gear perfectly safe and dry. The stern is designed to carry gear, dry bags or fishing bags. Bungee cord is fitted to hold your gear in place in turbulent waters.
The Nessy can be used for day touring, mild white water rafting, cray-fishing, playing in the waves or just cruising the waters for fun or photos. It is fitted with a drain plug for draining out water after a wash or leaking into the hull of the boat if you left that hatch open. A range of loops are fitted around the outer edge of the kayak to be used for securing thigh-straps or a grab-rope around the boat. An optional buoyancy kit can be factory fitted for seaworthy compliance and a certificate will be issued. The Nessy is also available as an angler version.

Proteus Legend Kayak
The Legend Proteus is a high volume recreational kayak and super stable on the water. It was originally designed for adults up to 140kgs but can easily be used by younger kids. At 19kgs it is easy to transport and a breeze to handle out and on the water. It turns on a dime and the shorter hull length and design makes for a great kayak in the surf zone. It is ideal for shorter distances.
The Legend Proteus was designed to perform on waves and handles great in mild white water rapids. It is an all rounder kayak and is the choice if you want a kayak for a bit of everything. With thigh straps fitted you can even do an Eskimo roll with it. The Proteus has a dry hatch with an optional pvc bag-insert available to keep valuables safe and dry. The Proteus “Angler” is also a great little boat for inland and back-line fishing. Also available as an Angler version.

Tiki Junior Legend Kayak
The first child of the Legend Kayak surf range. The Tiki has a capacity of 75kg and is the ideal kayak for teenagers mastering the art of surfing. Great for the brave ladies venturing into the waves. The Tiki is great for lighter paddlers under 60kg on flat water. It is as tough as nails, and is very close to indestructible.
